Tonight Glenn & I had the privilege of attending the movie "RISEN" with the Covenant United Methodist Church family. My sister & her hubs invited us to join them & the others for the viewing. One of the Carmike Theater rooms was reserved by the church, and it was packed. Our $5 ticket also included a drink & popcorn.

At 5:30 PM their pastor welcomed everyone and offered up a prayer. Only one advertisement at the church's request played before the movie began.

Hubs & I talked on the way home about how wonderful the movie was. There was a full moon out, and God was showing some amazing moon/cloud scenes. My pictures do not show the beauty that the naked eye sees.

What a mighty God we serve!

come quickly
and change your world
feed & fill us
with sweetness from above

voices to sing
and hearts of love
await your call
for homeward flight

eyes will see
and hearts will cry
for what is lost
and surely will die

the heart that cried
must wait his death but
not if what was seen
with eyes and
tearing of heart...
new life
eternal
when i rise in the mornings and my feet touch the floor, my heart whispers that quiet gratitude...and then i go to the bathroom (lol). a quick jump back in the bed for another twenty to thirty minutes feels good. then a good stretch of the ol' bones helps "jumpstart" the bloodflow of my vessel. whew! & alright!...ready to begin my day.

Mom left yesterday morning after a week's visit in Dothan with Susan & me. She spent the first part of the week with Susan & David, and then she came to our home for the rest of her visit.

She enjoyed spending time at Susan's and seeing her new home. Susan & David moved to Dothan back in October. Mom spent time with each daughter and then spent time with both of us together.

There were days of shopping/junkin' and a few estate sales. On our aquacise class days, mom enjoyed the hot tub. We played Spades (she won) and Phase Ten (she almost beat me). She loved sitting on our patio in the sun and spent one day completely in the sun for over an hour with "Sam" in her lap. She loved that.

Cracker Barrel, Chicken Salad Chick, Clarion, Little Caesars...several places we ate. Grilled hamburgers and hash potatoes with Franklin 2.

It was a nice treat for mom to be in Dothan especially since both of her girls now live in the same city. I look forward to many more of mom's visits to Dothan.

On a sad note Steve's mom passed away early the morning that Susan & I were taking mom to meet Frank halfway for mom's return. With this news our trip was delayed a day. Mom returned to SC on Sunday with David/Susan.
